Butterflies and a hummer

IMG_1271More black swallow tail caterpillars in the garden. Once again on the fennel. Discovered that the laying  butterflies like fennel, dill and parsley fronds because they make the caterpillars that eat them poisonous to birds and other potential predators. Hungry.

There’s a couple of monarchs butterflies hanging out at the Mexican sunflower refreshment stand along with bees, bumblebees and other butterflies. And there’s a tiny humming bird!monarchbutterflycrop

I feel quite honored to have these impressive creatures visiting and dwelling in the garden.
